shooting the rifle at the shooting range...right before I pulled the trigger and it kicked back, hitting me in the face with the scope

Day 6 and 7

I know I forgot to post a picture yesterday but there really hasn't been much going on and I haven't been anywhere that had anything picture-worthy.

tried to be a little artsy Friday night so I took a picture of the promise ring Parker gave me and the custom dog tags a friend made for me that say his name and "the army has my soldier but I have his heart"

 

Day 5

this is my first letter to Parker. It took awhile to write but I think it's perfect

Day 4

pampering night!! New paint on my toes and after they're dry I'm going to do a mint face mask :) I always feel so refreshed after that

Day 3

one of the prairie dogs for sale at Polly's Pets today...so cute! I really want to get one now lol I think I would name him Hugo :)

Day 2

first journal entry :) I'm trying to get in the habit of writing my first thought of the day down in the journal and then right before bed writing down what happened that day and any emotions I need to unload. Still can't decide if this is something I'll show Parker when he gets back...it would be a cool thing for him to see.

Day 1

So I guess technically we are now on Day 2 of the deployment but oh well. I figured I would start this "picture a day" project with a picture of me...on the first day. Didn't see that coming did you? The rest of the days will have a picture of me, something I did that day, something I saw that interested me, or just something random. The last day, the day Parker returns from his deployment (wish I knew the date!!!) will be a picture of me again just to see how I've changed in the year he was gone.
